My Yr 7 group were very interested to look at some population clocks today... (Type population clocks into a search engine - there are lots to look at! Compare some - are they all the same? Why or why not?)
The Worldometers site has a population clock, as well as a wide variety of other statistical counters...

Glad you are impressed 7PBr!!
Do you think all these statistics are accurate though??
Have you looked at some population clocks? What do you think of them?
dear ms.kirk
the worldometer really opened my eyes to things we take for granted.
The amount of people dieing of hunger really made me sick as i was counting the numbers the amount of people dieing kept on growing and growing.
Glad we had this for HW, The worldometer is safely stored in my favourate's so I can keep acount.

Nice to hear from you 7PBr!!
Robert - the Worldometers are "projections". That means that the statistics have been monitored over a long period of time, and the patterns analysed. This information has then been used to predict how these things will change in the future. If you change the date on your computer clock, it will give you predictions of the statistics for dates in the future up to 2050!
I think that it is truely amazing how you find that info out so fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a good site, but I don't think all the statistics are right as they do not into account natural disasters.
Connor Bate 7PBR
Absolutely right Connor! Well spotted!
Callum - try altering your computer clock - it should tell you.

wassup ms. ellis.
It think that the damage is already done.
We may be able to slow some of the clocks down such as the hugry food one or the abortion one but the cancer victims will continue to die until we find a cure.
But sadly the death part is unstopable death is the only certainty in life and we must welcome it with open arms...
